Don, the LS650 lights have rubber insulators and use a ground wire back to the frame, best bet is to run a ground wire from the light bulb housing to the existing grnd wires. Unless you do mount the new lights metal to metal. Bulbs will probably not last a long due to the increased vibration from the operation, but it may not make enough difference. If you need a copy of a wiring diagram faxed, let me know the year and I can get one from the factory manual I have. I don't think the lights have changed since the mid 80's though so any of the old Clymer manuals diagrams should work. Max If you want the diagram e-mail me direct please.
